Saw this low end OpenVZ VPS that fits right inside our budget. BuzzServers has a $7/month VPS package “Linux VPS I” that has:

  • 64MB guaranteed/128MB burstable memory
  • 5GB storage
  • 80GB/month data transfer
  • HyperVM

One down side I see is that CentOS 5 is the only choice of Linux distro, which I think might not be that a good idea for low-memory VPSs due to yum uses significantly more memory than apt-get. According to their About page, the servers are in either Kansas City MO or Dallas TX. The WHOIS record certainly shows that it might be a very new company.
